Wendy Rigby, the erstwhile medical reporter at KENS 5 news, talked to Geri Collins, director of the Methodist Women’s Center about how breast feeding babies is becoming an economical option that more women are choosing to save big bucks.
In fact, breast feeding is up by 12 percent at Methodist’s lactation center. Rigby reports that even generic formula can cost $1,700 to $2,100 a year. Designer formulas can run up to $3,000 a year. Now that’s a lot of money that could be going to diapers.
