Ride with a mission: biking to fight prostate cancer

Wearing the yellow rubber bracelets to support Lance Armstrong’s LiveStrong cancer initiative is one thing, but hundreds in the San Antonio area will go the extra mile this weekend.

ride with a missionThe Methodist Healthcare Ride with a Mission is Saturday, Sept. 26, and the wheels start rolling at 7:30 a.m. for the 28-mile route on the San Antonio Mission Trail. There’s also a 14-mile family route. It’s all to raise awareness about prostate cancer and its prevalence in San Antonio.

If detected and treated early, men can survive and thrive. Get the facts on prostate cancer and treatment options.

All proceeds from the ride support the LiveStrong Foundation, but registraion is free.
